Wedding venues are a lot assignment that was added in patch 123 to The Sims 4 base game. They are intended to be places where Sims can host wedding events. This lot type has no required objects, except for (optionally) a wedding arch, a bar, a dining chair, an indoor plant, a stereo, a sink, a toilet, and wall decorations. When it was introduced, the game wouldn't allow to gather wedding social events in the base game even though it's intended for this lot type. It was later fixed in patch 125 to allow wedding gatherings on Wedding Venues in the base game.
