Vera Loste is one of the pre-made, yet unplayable deceased ancestral Sims who resided in Strangetown, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. She was the wife of Goshem, the mother of Arty, and the grandmother of Kristen. Though deceased when the game begins, she can be seen in the family tree of her granddaughter.

Like her husband, Vera's name may be a pun, as it sounds like "Very Lost" or "We are Lost". According to her SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was black before it turned grey. Vera's age data indicates that, when she died, she had 18 days left before dying from old age.
