Turn disasters into blessings with brand new Disaster Fizz carbonated drinks. SimCity disasters have never been as tasteful as they are when enjoying one for breakfast or a light lunch. A close look at the ingredients reveals such items as “Tornado Essence” and “Molten Volcanic Rock Powder”, which are sure to kick your day into high gear. Already approved by the SimCity Bureau of Food and Drink these vendors can already be found wherever drinks are sold.
The Sims did not ship with a vending machine in the base game or any of its expansion packs, but a vending machine by the name Disaster Fizz Automated Vendor was available at the official website. Sims can purchase drinks from the machine, which will provide a small Energy boost while simultaneously decreasing Bladder. If the Sim has a low Neat score, they will burp loudly after drinking.
Four types of drinks are available. They all have the same effect and price.
Tornado Fizz
Volcano Fizz
Earthquake Fizz
Meteor Fizz
Occasionally, the vending machine would become "stuck" while a Sim was using it. Sims with a low Nice score will automatically kick the machine, and the player can manually direct Sims to kick a stuck machine. This will not damage the machine, and the machine will not fall on the Sim. After a few kicks, the machine will eventually dispense a drink, and the Sim will drink as usual.
As TheSims.com has been shut down, the Disaster Fizz Automated Vendor can be downloaded here.
The Sims 2: Apartment Life

The Sims 3: University Life
Vending machines were reintroduced in The Sims 3: University Life[1] and could be placed on both residential and community lots. Unlike previous games, all sales of sodas and candies are free. If Sims slam on the vending machine several times, there is a possibility that it will fall on top of them, killing them in a similar fashion to the murphy bed.
Sugar Slide Vending Machine

Vending machines don't offer enough choice: one's got candy, the other's got soda. What Sims really want are candy AND soda, packaged together in one convinient machine!

Note: This is the only vending machine that sells both sodas and candies.
The Sims Online
The Sims Online came with two vending machines that could be purchased by players. One dispensed drinks, and functioned similarly to the Disaster Fizz Automated Vendor on The Sims website.
