The Vatore family is a pre-made family residing in Forgotten Hollow, the world introduced in The Sims 4: Vampires. It consists of brother and sister Caleb and Lilith Vatore, a pair of vampires who dislike drinking plasma from Sims without their permission. They live in the Wolfsbane Manor lot and start off with 20,000 simoleons.
According to the family bio, the Vatore siblings have moved to Forgotten Hollow recently and haven't made good relationships with Vladislaus Straud, the grand vampire of the town. Caleb and Lilith are also said to have "a difference in their culinary tastes", which most likely refers to the siblings being good vampires, as their traits and aspirations are more on the good side, rather than bad, which would also put them at odds with Vladislaus Straud. Even though it is implied that the Vatore siblings aren't on the best terms with Vladislaus Straud, they don't have any relationships with him at the start of the game.
According to a trailer and a teaser for Vampires, Vlad is the one who turned Lilith into a vampire, and Miss Hell turned Caleb into a vampire.[1][2]
According to dialogue with the werewolf Lily Zhu, it is revealed that Lilith and Caleb are Lily's cousins on both of their maternal sides, and that all of them grew up together. It is also revealed none of the cousins are from the towns they now reside in and instead moved in after being turned into occults.[3] If the player owns both game packs, the Vatore siblings will not have Lily show up in their family tree and vice-versa, which shows a lack of cross-pack compatibility that can also be seen in The Sims 4: Cottage Living, between Agnes Crumplebottom and Mortimer Goth.
Onomatology
- Vatore: May be a reference to the Salvatore brothers from the TV show, Vampire Diaries which ran from September 2009 to March 2017. It could be also a reference to Elizabeth Báthory (1560 - 1614), a Hungarian noblewoman and alleged serial killer with vampiric tendencies.
- Caleb: Most likely related to Hebrew כֶּלֶב (kelev) meaning "dog".
- Lilith: Derived from Akkadian lilitu meaning "of the night". Is also of Mesopotamian origin, referring to the demon of the night in Jewish mythology.
- Caleb: Most likely related to Hebrew כֶּלֶב (kelev) meaning "dog".
