VJ Alvi (علوی) is a pre-made playable Sim residing in Sunset Valley, the world shipped with The Sims 3. He lives with his father Iqbal and younger brother Miraj. When the family is first played, he is 13 days away from aging up into a young adult.

It is mentioned in his bio that VJ's mother, though she doesn't appear on his family tree, walked out on the family and he blames his father for her leaving. He has grown into having an evil personality; he listens to no one, does not do his homework, never associates with anyone his own age (though Lisa Bunch seems to be an exception as they share similar personalities) and constantly argues with his father.

VJ is good friends with Miraj, friends with Lisa and dislikes Iqbal. He starts off with no skills and is a C student in high school, despite his bio stating that he is a horrible student. He carries The Warlock of Palladia in his inventory.

Magnus, a Sim who appears on the cover of The Sims 3, somewhat resembles VJ, but they wear different shirts and chokers. VJ is noticeable by his dark blue eyebrows and black and blue mohawk.
