Welcome to the August 2012 monthly events blog!
It's summer! As a result I've (tried) to cram as much in as possible for Wikians to do.
Here's the rundown for August:
- August 1st to 3rd - Fanon Reading. These three days are dedicated to reading fanon articles. Just pick a category you're interested in from the "Fanon Contents" section of our Fanon Portal and enjoy!
- August 4th and 5th - IRC Weekend. Feel free to drop by the IRC Channel to chat with your fellow Sims Wikians!
- August 11th and 12th - Chat Weekend. Feel free to drop by the on-wiki Chat to chat with your fellow Sims Wikians!
- August 13th to 19th - Tutorial Cleanup Week. Those who wish to volunteer throughout that week can help cleanup the Tutorial namespace, add new information and so on!
- August 14th - Waikikamukow's birthday. Wish her a happy birthday on her talk page!
- August 18th and 19th - Chat Weekend. Feel free to drop by the on-wiki Chat to chat with your fellow Sims Wikians!
- August 21st - Random Ranaun's birthday. Wish him a happy birthday on his talk page!
- August 25th and 26th - IRC Weekend. Feel free to drop by the IRC Channel to chat with your fellow Sims Wikians!
- August 29th - Alex9400's birthday. Wish him a happy birthday on his talk page!
That's as much as I could possibly think of. As per usual if you have any suggestions for future events then don't be shy and comment with your ideas! We're open to almost anything that can be considered as fun for the community!
