I haven't written a news blog in so long, I'm not even sure I remember how. Alright, here goes!

The Sims news[]

The Sims 4 is 50% off on Origin

If you haven't picked up a copy of The Sims 4 yet, it's on sale at 50% off on Origin through December 1 (so act fast!). Both the regular and Digital Deluxe versions are on sale.

Game updates

A new game update for The Sims 4 was released on November 25th that fixed some bugs; no new features were introduced in the patch. EA previously announced that a patch sometime during December would introduce/re-introduce careers to The Sims 4, specifically the business and athlete career tracks. The expected release date of this content has not been announced yet.

The TS4 Gallery is now accessible through TheSims.com

EA has added access to the The Sims 4 Gallery to The Sims' official website. This means that people who do not have a copy of The Sims 4 will be able to see Gallery content for the first time, though people will still need an Origin login ID in order to see much of the gallery content. For more information about the Gallery, see this post on SimsVIP.com.

Be sure to participate in featured content selection

Every month, The Sims Wiki selects and displays on the Main Page, high-quality elements of the wiki, including well-written articles, interesting images or videos, and skilled editors. These features are not selected in secret or by administrators, but are chosen by you through voting and nomination. If you have found a particularly good article or image, or feel that there is an editor on the wiki worthy of recognition, please be sure to nominate or vote for them so that they can be featured. If the community does not participate in selecting these items, we will no longer be able to feature them.

Every month we feature:

Want to help the wiki? Apply for rollback rights or administratorship!

The Sims Wiki is always in need of experienced, competent and dedicated editors to help lead the community and improve our encyclopedia. One of the best ways to achieve this is to apply for additional user rights. User rights give editors access to special tools that make it easier to manage the wiki, address vandalism, keep things clean and orderly, and more. The first step towards getting access to these tools is to become a rollbacker. There are no prerequisites to apply, so if you've been on the wiki for awhile and want to do more to help, please submit an application for rollback rights today! Or, if you're already a rollbacker and feel ready to take on the "mop and pail" of administratorship, submit an application for admin rights.

Important community discussions

There are a number of issues on the Community Discussions forum that need attention. They are:

Please be sure and weigh in on these important matters! These problems can only be solved with community engagement and consensus!

As always, if I've forgotten anything, leave it in the comments.
