So this is what it looks like outside right now.
But hey, no worries; I'm sure the snow will come before Christmas this year! While we're waiting for that lovely white powder to come down, how about we, uh, give you an update on the wiki?
It's now December, and the clock is ticking towards December 25! We are still looking for your input on this theme! Specifically, we're looking for help with images; if you have some good image editing skills, or if you have The Sims 4 and can contribute some good quality screenshots, please do so! Please see the forum thread if you'd like to help out!
"Featured Videos" are a highly controversial feature that FANDOM (AKA Wikia, the website that runs the wiki hosting service we're located on), where videos will appear on select pages that are irremovably placed at the top of the page and autoplay. The use of these videos are highly controversial, since they detract from the written article's content, and are forcefully implemented without the community's consent. I wrote a blog post about them about a month ago, and we are currently looking to push back on this unpopular change as a community. Please drop any comments you may have at the forum thread that we created to gain consensus for this request to FANDOM Staff to have the feature disabled.
The Celebrity status article has been selected to be the featured article for the month of December 2018! Featured articles are hand-picked selections from the community that are crowned as being one of the best articles we have. Featured articles are chosen based on their readability and the amount of information they contain, and they're not chosen by a secretive council, but by community members—people like YOU! To nominate or vote for an article, read the instructions here, and then either make a nomination or vote for an existing one.
Discord is a multi-platform online text and voice chat service that lets people connect with each other in real time over the Internet, and it includes a whole lot of awesome sauce features! Among the offerings offered in Discord's basket of offerings include customizable user roles, a bot API for really fun chatbots, the ability to upload and embed files, FORMATTING, and much much more! Discord is completely free to use and is quite popular amongst gamers. Feel free to check out their official website if you want to learn more.
The Sims Wiki runs its own Discord server, which you can read more about here. It's currently the wiki's most popular form of communication, and you'll have all sorts of fun, great friendships forged, amazing memories cherished.
