A tree is a large floral decorative object found in most Sims games. They range in height from 1 floor to more than 10 floors, and in leaf-cover size from 1x1 square to almost 40x40.
The amount of tree objects across the series are well into the 3-digits, so it'd be impractical to list them all on this page. However, the various types of trees are suitable to be listed:
- Typical trees with trunks and branches.
- Dead trees.
- Palm trees.
- Large bamboo sticks.
- Some types of cactus.
- Harvestable gardening trees.[TS3][TS4]
- Treehouses.
- Money tree.
- Christmas tree.[TS:LL][TS2:HPP][Store][TS4:HCP][TS4:S]
- Ambrosial tree.[TS2:S]
- Bird tree.[TS3:P]
- Tree of Prosperity[Store]
- Bonsai tree.[TS4]
- Tree of Emotions.[TS4:JA]
- Guardian Tree.[TS4:L&D]
The Sims 3[]
In The Sims 3, the game can set trees to be "Evergreen" or seasonally changing; trees in the latter category will have their leaves turn red during fall, and will become leafless during winter and in the Oasis Landing Dystopian Future.[TS3:ITF]
Trees will typically have some degree of Environment value between 1 and 4. The two Charred Tree objects[TS3:A] are not listed with any value (making the value 0), while Super Spooky Tree[TS3:P] (a Buydebug object) is listed as simply "Environment" without a value or a colon.
On owned resorts,[TS3:IP] placing trees up until a certain amount will help increase the resort's star rating.
Build Mode trees will fade out when trying to zoom in the camera towards them, especially so if they're placed indoors.
