Emit Relevart, the only pre-made Time Traveler.
The Time Traveler is a hidden occult life state featured in The Sims 3: Into the Future. Only one pre-made Time Traveler exists, NPC Emit Relevart. A sim cannot become a Time Traveler without the use of mods.
This life state only exists in the game for technical purposes. If a sim has this life state, the sim will automatically change to Time Traveler's outfit permanently, as the life state removes the ability to change outfits. It also blocks the use of romantic interactions in any way possible.
Playing with this life state is not advised, as it could break an ongoing game, though this is not confirmed.
If NRaas Master Controller is used to give a player Sim that life state, a few effects occur:
- The Sim gets a futuristic outfit, and becomes unable to use drawers and to change outfits.
- Other Sims can click on that Sim to "Assist with Research", "Tell Me about a ______ Future", and to "Learn More about the Almanac of Time". However, they cannot receive opportunities from them even in Oasis Landing.
- Emit Relevart ceases to exist. It is possible that he can be regenerated by removing the Time Traveler occult state and then going from/to the future.
- "Summon Time Traveler" at the Wellsian Time Portal will be greyed out for all Sims in the active household, but they can choose to travel to/from the future.
As of December 2023, they are not known to have any other quirks to them, and they are not known to have any unique interactions of their own at all.
