The whole story of Sunset Valley is centered around how the town is run: "Before Pleasantview, there was Sunset Valley, founded by the Goths and built up by the Landgraabs to be a quiet, peaceful town. But when the Altos arrive with uptown ideals, will the townsfolk feel the need to choose sides?"

1. I vote for Gunther Goth, because he is positive.
2. Guys, aren't you all forgetting something? NEITHER of these Sims are in the Political Career track. Although Gunther Goth founded the town, he is in the Business Career and always was. Nick only bought some shops and is NOT in Politics and again, is in the Business Career track. Why is the election between these two only? They're not even in freaking Politics guys! Somebody throw in some different Sims instead of these two, like Vita Alto or Tamara Donner. MJ567 05:34, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

9. In the sims 3 i will kill the altos so Gunther will win.
10. I think everyone here will vote Gunther. But, I will probably save before the election and get Nick Alto mayor, just to see what happens.

26. this is the first game were the Alto's have appeared so they werent important before now...so obviously I want Gunther to win so that the story can continue like it did during Sims, and Sims2 !

33. i vote nick alto and i have reasons! hes not goth,hed make a great mayor,gunther goth is grumpy,the altos are more succsesful and the altos have a teen not a kid so the teen can take care of her self and not interup the parents.

37. Nick Atlo is NOT mayor. It's obviously Gunther! He is way more important, he has been there alot longer, and he founded the place!
38. I vote for Gunther he is carismatic , and he is better person than Nick , and certainly he has better ideas than Nick, and Nick is a bad guy he is not nice , he don´t have values
