Nomination[]
K6ka (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)
I, Nikel23, would like to nominate K6ka (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log) for administratorship.
K6ka has proved his worth as a wikian with quality. He's very active in this wiki, and without judging his number of edits, all his contributions are excellent. He's a very experienced wikian, having been an admin in another wiki and become a rollbacker in Wikipedia, which I think are great accomplishments. He's basically very well familiar with the tools in the wiki and stuff in wiki management. He also has a vast technical knowledge in The Sims 2; as a bonus point. I believe that he would benefit greatly from receiving the administratorship rights for this wiki. Nikel Talk – Vote! 06:20, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
- As I stare at this I wonder if I'm dreaming or not. Yes, it would be more than just an honour to become an admin on The Sims Wiki. Since the time I became a rollbacker here I also became an admin on The Last Stand Wiki and also became a reviewer on Wikipedia (proof). It is a privilege to serve this wiki as well.
- By the way, I was also thinking about Joey.eyeball, who has made even more contributions than me and I would like to see Joseph become an admin as well. Once this nomination has ended, I think I'll nominate him for sysop status. K6ka (talk | contrib) 13:51, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
Discussion[]
This period of discussion will last for at least five days. Time remaining:
I think this is the ultimate example of "quality over quantity." K6ka has made tremendous contributions despite his relatively low overall edit count. He has demonstrated an understanding of wikis in general, and ours specifically. Being an admin on another wiki, he obviously has experience with admin tools and I do not doubt that he can use them responsibly. Therefore, I support this nomination. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 16:06, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
I think that K6ka has contributed a lot to the wiki and will definitely make use of being a sysop. I think he will also be quite experienced with the tool as he is an admin on another wiki so will be experienced with the tool and will continue to make excellent contributions to the wiki. I support this nomination as well. Chunkyheels (talk ) 16:13, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
K6ka is online almost every day and does seem to know how the sysop tools work. Given our rise in admin departures as of late, we probably couldn't ask for more from an administrator. His contributions have only been for the better of the wiki and that goes without saying. I'd like to see K6ka get a bit more involved with stuff like community discussions but that's just one thing out of the aforementioned positives here. He gets my support on this. K6ka most certainly deserves to be an administrator.
P.S. As a regular Sims wikia contributor, I am still in a position to write this, correct?. C.Syde65 (talk) 09:43, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, regular members of The Sims Wiki are able to participate in Request discussions. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 13:26, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
Considering the fact that K6ka has experience with the administrator tools on another wiki, he is most certainly a user who would suit the tools appropriately. He should, however, voice his own opinion in community discussions, as Lab stated, every once in a while. Therefore, I am in support of this nomination. It has been a long time off on my part from Sims Wiki. In a nutshell... Returns back, sees nomination, checks edits and stuff... The population already is in solid support of K6ka being sysop, so I think there is little reason to oppose it. I will also throw in a support for his work here. I am also definitely in support of K6ka becoming an admin. His knowledge of the tools from being an admin on another wiki will certainly help him, and his edits are positive and contribute to the wiki very nicely. I have also seen many reverts and undos from K6ka which have taken into account the AGF philosophy which I believe is another good factor. Overall I can see K6ka being an awesome admin and I support his nomination! ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 11:41, January 27, 2014 (UTC)
Everybody else has said what I want to say, so I might as well say that I support for the administrator rights of K6ka. Joey.eyeball (talk) 21:57, January 28, 2014 (UTC)
Conclusion[]
As a clear and unanimous consensus in favor of the promotion exists, K6ka shall shortly be promoted to an administrator.
As an aside, I'd like to remind the community that it is not necessary to bold words in the discussion such as "support". My sticking point on this is that it makes the discussion process look more like a vote when it isn't (yes I know my use of the word is bolded but somebody else did it for me). Remember that strength of argument counts here as the process is discussion-based. Lost Labyrinth • (c) • (b) 18:49, January 29, 2014 (UTC)
