My game

My sims 3 game says it have expansions but it did not work I can’t uninstall it won’t leave then it tired to install it says uninstall but it doesn’t and in game and control panel has it they are ambitious/Master suit/Generates my favorite 173.19.91.236 (talk)

New mods not working

In order to help you, we require the following information:

• Which game are you referring to? (e.g. The Sims 1, The Sims 2, The Sims 3, etc.) We cannot magically guess which game you need help with.
• Which mods, if any, do you have installed?
• What did you do (or might've done) prior to this issue occurring that might've caused the problem?
• What are your system specs? At minimum we should know which operating system you're running.

TS1 templates

Hello, can someone advise how the sim renders are extracted from Sims 1, like the ones on the Miss Crumplebottom & Bella Goth page. I've been recreating TS1 in TS4 and noticed a few of the NPCs didnt have pictures and/or pages, was hoping to add them if its not too complicated. Thanks Prawler (talk) 15:57, July 28, 2019 (UTC)

Reusing tables?

Is it ok to reuse tables from an article to another? Like moodlets for instance, which I do but change them a little bit? If not, I'll removed them. DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 23:21, August 2, 2019 (UTC)

Bio Word Count

I was wondering about the maximum word count of the Biographies for each game(1, 2, 3 and 4.). If you think it would be helpful to others, and if it's not an inconvenience, would you consider adding them soon?

New to The Sims 4

So on the sims 2 you could see other households you created and moved into the neighborhood and interact with them. On the sims 4 that doesnt seem the case. Ive been seeing posts about how its not in "that save" but im still confused can someone break it down for me. • Every time you click "New Game" on your main menu, it's as though you're making a new Sims 2 neighborhood to play in. Sims from one neighborhood can't interact with Sims in another neighborhood in The Sims 2 (for example, Sims from Pleasantview can't interact with Sims from Veronaville, and you'll never see a Sim from Pleasantview walking around in Veronaville).
  If you click on "Load Game", you'll see all the separate "saves" you've saved. Sims from one save can't interact with Sims from another. If you want to add more Sims to the same save, add them in Manage Worlds instead of going all the way back to the main menu and starting a new game. Sim won't age up

My sim won't age up jusing cake in the sims 3 (For Xbox 360) , but I don't wanna turn on aging and I don't have enough exprience for no other way to suspend aging to my other sims, what should I do:

Force her to be taken away by the social worker

Kill her

Move The Sims but don't include her

Sims 3: Cleaning up after bar brawl

My character owns everything in town including the bars. There have been some brawls initiated by my Sim in a bar (The Grind) and there's plenty of debris. Business is down at the bar because the debris is still there and there's no way to clean it up that I can find. Any ideas?24.253.209.57 (talk) 13:08, May 13, 2020 (UTC)

Format Problem

I was working on the List of ingredients from The Sims 2 Castaway (NDS), but there is a problem with the fruit table when I try to type a recipe for the watermelon. I tried deleting the row and making a new one but the problem persists.

Book of Spells Quest did not appear after Sorcerer's Supplies build

Hi there! Sims Freeplay question here. After building Sorcerer's Supplies, the Book of Spells Quest has not showed up in my queue, or become automatically active as every blog/FAQ page said it would. The Magic Wand Podium has not appeared in SS store or Promotions R Us either. I have 3 other quests in queue - 1 ocean view house quest, and 2 Mysterious Island Quests. My current active quests are: "Snow Problem", "Two and a Half Sims", "Get back to the Wall", and a "Produce Live Market" event, along with Social and Weekly Quests. I heard you can't play feature and discovery quests at the same time, is that the issue here? I am level 10, just started playing a few days ago for the first time. Thanks!! Does anyone know where I can download a modded love bed that doesnt charge 20§ to vibrate in it for the Sims 1?

you guys remember the heart shaped bed in the sims 1? It always charges 20§ whenever sims try to vibrate in it. I was wondering if there was a modded version of the bed that doesn't charge any § to vibrate in it. Does anyone know where i can find one?

Adding Info To Freelancer Page

I'm quite new to all this. I've been reading wikis for years for information for games and have recently thought about adding my own information to the games I love to play, especially The Sims. So far, I've added two images to the Doctor Set page, as before there were no images. Now I've been looking into adding information to the Freelancer page, specifically in regards to gigs for each Freelancer trade. I've played through all five of the trades available (Digital Artist, Writer, Programmer, Fashion Photographer, and Crafter) and gathered information for all of them, but I'm not sure how to go about adding them to the page. I thought a table was the best way to lay it out, but I'm not sure what info to include. I was thinking of: gig icon, gig name, gig pay, and skill level requirement. I've also collected information for each gig's description, the bonus message you get for completing them quickly, and the list of tasks for each gig; but I thought that this additional info might be unnecessary and clutter up the page and make it look untidy.

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this, and I've been hesitant about making any drastic changes to any pages, as I'm worried about messing it up, but I would like to start contributing to The Sims wiki.

Households not opening in the Sims 4 after September 2020 update

Hi everyone,

My game has been broken every since the new September 2020 update and I don't know how to fix it. Thankfully the game works without cc and mods but not with. I have repaired, and reinstalled my game but nothing has changed. I have taken out mods that aren't updated and updated the ones that I can but it's still not working. Now it wont even work with cc (clothes, makeup hair etc).

What is happening is I can open my game and go but when I click to play a household loads for an extremely long time and doesn't open (a household with no cc) or brings me to the manage world screen with no error code or MCC exception (a household with cc)

I don't know what to do. If anyone can help me or is having the same problem and knows what it causing it, that would be so great

My Pregancy/Labour Cheats aren't working!!!!

I'm trying to have a ton of kids in the sims, but none of the pregancy/forcing triplets/go into labour cheats are working. I used pregnancy.force_offspring_count ID # then, pregnancy.force_offspring_count ID # sims.add_buff buff_pregnancy_inlabor and I typed the ID in all correct so WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I defintely turned cheats on. I am wondering if its WHEN thats wrong. Ive tried it in build mode, live mode while playing, live mode while pausing, and I tried it before confirmed pregancy and after. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I was trying to make a Fanon page for one of my Sims’ pets (Specifically Booger Boogerson) and I don’t think it saved as a Fanon page and I have no clue on how to change the name of the page, help?

Edit from the Author: I think I might’ve fixed it, I can’t say for certain though. Edit 2 from the Author: Somebody’s managed to fix it for me, thank you to whoever managed to do it.

Question about child/adult relationships

Hi there! I've never been on this wiki before, but I had this question and wasn't able to find an answer. Is there a way to have adult sims be responsible for the care of a child sim without being related and if so, how? Or will this happen automatically if I make them in the same household. If this is true, is there a way to make it so if there are multiple adult sims only one of them is responsible for the care of the child? Another slightly related question: Do these relationships or other types of relationships remain if the family is downloaded through the gallery?

sims 3 plays in background of loading screen

every time i load sims 3 and select the world i wanna play on, it always plays the game in the backkground(around the time it would usually finish loading) with the loading screen(interactive) still there and i cant do anything

Help with Infobox Images

Hey, I'm currently adding an image to Booger Boogerson's infobox, yet I am having difficulty doing so, as I can't understand the formating, and has caused me to get irrationally angry.

When you add images to an infobox on the wiki, you have to include the full syntax of the image link, including the opening and closing brackets (for example, [[File:Filename.png]]). You also need to set the size the image will display at, otherwise the image will be displayed at its original upload resolution. In the case of your infobox image, the correct syntax is [[File:Booger Boogerson, Sitting.png|250px]]. The '250px' portion of the image link sets the size of the image in the infobox at 250px, which is a good de facto standard for main infobox images, though since this is a fanon page, you can change that to whatever size you think looks best. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk · blog · contribs} 14:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

the urbz wikia: stand-alone or must be merged?

hello! quite some time ago i became aware of a dedicated wikia for the urbz series here: https://urbz.fandom.com/wiki/The_Urbz_Wiki it is extremely bare-bones and seems to have been abandoned shortly after its creation. i made some edits and pages myself (related to the handheld versions, as the existing content only pertained to the console version) at the time, but i also abandoned it... until now. i'm on break from classes and extremely passionate about the project. i have left a bit of documentation on the homepage as to what i'm currently up to and my plans for the wiki, as it seems i'm the only person working on it or who has an interest in it.

i quickly became aware that some urbz content exists here on the sims wiki, but i'm not really sure to what extent. i could redirect my efforts here, but i'm not sure where to start or if it's necessary. i'm not sure if my ideas for the urbz wikia would fit well into here or follow the general tone/direction used here. i was majorly interested in documenting as much as i could about the game, but would that be considered overkill here? is it better to sort of give a general definition of each item/sim/etc and leave it at that? or would full documentation (such as documenting every dialogue line, every sprite, all portraits of a character, etc) be encouraged?

if there's anyone apart of the sims wiki here that is occupied with the urbz pages or sort of watches over it, i'd love their input on the direction of the urbz content here and if there's an interest in heavy archival/documentation of the game & its contents here on the sims wiki. if the urbz having its own dedicated wiki works, i am of course also okay with that and will continue my work there. but i get the feeling it's probably preferable that it's merged into this major wiki... right? - Maizzey (talk) 03:54, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

i wanted to add, i realize this is hard to consider given that the urbz wiki is barely developed. it's similar to if i just created any wiki right now and asked to merge it. i suppose i am not submitting a formal merge request, but i'm asking for advice on how to handle my own desire to contribute. should i continue the urbz wiki and create a stand-alone, dedicated wiki with heavy documentation of the game? or should i redirect my efforts to this wiki and contribute to the urbz pages here? - Maizzey (talk) 04:09, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

My spellbook and available spells to cast

I've learned all the spells in the 3 different schools of magic. But when I go to use a spell, not all of them are available to cast.. Why?. I can only cast 6 mischief spells, 4 untamed, and 3 practical, but as I said, I've got AL of them in my spellbook. Why aren't they all available to cast?

No sound

• Is everything sound affected? Intro movies, menus, music, etc.?
• Do you have sound in general, outside the Sims?
• Is a soundcard driver update available?
• Did you delete the cache files?

The Sims 3 Stuff Packs showing as Custom Content and World Adventures missing Traits.

• I recently got codes for Town Life, High-End Loft, and Outdoor Living. Instead of showing as their respective packs, they're showing in the bottom of the list with Custom Content/Store Content. I registered the codes on the EA App, so they're not a pirated version. They show in my launcher.
• I have World Adventures installed (as it shows up in the launcher) but I can't find the traits? It was the only pack I bought many years ago. The used to be there. Everything else shows up {wishes to travel, the cas items, etc.) but suddenly they don't.

I've solved to issue, I believe it was the launcher. I swapped from the Patch Launcher (a mod that makes the game run smoother) to the normal one and it was fixed. I'll need to contact the mod author about it.

Hi, I've been playing Sims 2 again for a while now. Yesterday I noticed that the workbench had a strange bug. Even with the highest level, the options don't appear correctly. I don't have any cc that can affect the work benchs from free time. This bug never happened to me before either. I looked for any explanations or people who had the same bug, but I didn't find anything. I tried to reset the workbench, buy a new one, leave the lot without saving and come back. I even tried with other families, but the bug remains. The other benches did not have the same bug, they are working correctly, only this one had a problem. As I said before, I have cc's but none of them affect workbenches. I'm very selective about their choice and I've never had any problems with them. I don't think the problem involves them, but I don't know what it could be either. Any help is accepted, and sorry for the picture, my game was not screen shooting so I took a picture with my cellphone. I have the The Sims 2 UC version.

when i click the mail box to get my mail it says i have to pay off a fine. how do i do this? how do i know how much to pay? and what am i paying a fine for? also i doesn't let me pay it any amount at all. is anyone else having this problem and if so how do you fix it? please help i need an answer for this i don't know what to do

Error Code 16 on New Computer

Hi there, I recently got my first gaming computer (Lenovo Legion Pro 7) and installed the full Sims 3 collection the same way I did on my other computers and then dragged over my old saves and mods. It has 16GB of ram, Geforce RTX 4070 graphics and Intel Core i9 processor, and at first the game wouldn't start but I found a fix to that using the Intel Alderlake Patch.

Then my old saves wouldn't open even though they were working perfectly well on my other computer (says serious error has occurred) and I tried the obvious fixes for that but it didn't work. Now my new game that I made is coming up with Error Code 16 when I try to save. I updated my drivers and Windows, reinstalled, reset the world, disabled OneDrive, deleted caches, ran as administrator, and tried save as and deleting the bad files but it keeps coming up and I have to just retry throughout the day until it eventually works.

Also in the new game I'm noticing corruption that would normally only happen in a really old and huge save: items disappearing, Sims randomly resetting, options and commands disappearing, and freezes/crashes. I have attached my dxdiag and most recent xcpt text file. Any help would really be appreciated, I'm so lucky this forum exists because I have no idea what to do, thank you guys!
