The Sims Wiki:Editing restrictions

This page lists specific rules put into place for existing users by Administrators. These users have likely been troublesome in one way or another yet seem to want to contribute in good faith or don't warrant any kind of extremity when it comes to discipline and as such, are given specific additional restrictions based on past behavior, tendencies to act disruptively, etc.

The rules here are to be dealt with by Admins only. If you see one of the following users causing trouble in one of the listed manners, please inform an admin ASAP.

Active Restrictions

Below is a list of active restrictions on problem users. Users may be moved to Probation if they show good behavior for a reasonable amount of time since the institution of their restrictions or last block.

ILoveBeyonceForeverAndEver

Overview of Problems	ILoveBeyonceForeverAndEver has, since registering, been involved in numerous issues both on-wiki and in Chat, which includes spamming links to hoax websites, harassing other users, making derogatory remarks and being generally disruptive. Despite the strong nature of these offences, Beyonce does have a few good, albeit minor, edits so we may as well try to keep her around.
User Restrictions	If Beyonce is in a disupte with another user, she'll take it up with that user and should that fail, an administrator. She will refrain from derogatory statments. Any disruptive behavior, which includes but is not limited to harassment, personal attacks and spam, will be subject to a ban, from Chat and/or the wiki as a whole (depending on the scale and severity), for 1 day. Subsequent offences will stack. Beyonce will have the ability to appeal any blocks politely. Failure to do so in a civil manner will result in her talk page access being revoked throughout the duration of her block.
Comments	If any non-admins see her involved publicly (for the lack of a better term) in any drama, don't retroactively join in or get involved - just tell an admin ASAP. Mrs.red bird

Overview of Problems	Since registering, Mrs.red bird has garnered a reputation for creating misleading blogs and using the comments system to spam and this has also boiled over to fanon. It seems she is banned from several other wikis for disruption but given she's had a few good faith edits here, it's worth trying to keep her around.
User Restrictions	Writing multiple comments on blogs/fanon articles which have no particular purpose will result in a 24 hour ban with all comments on said article to be deleted. Subsequent offences will stack. Creating purposeless or misleading blogs will also result in a 24 hour ban with subsequent offences stacking. Any blogs which fall under this are to be deleted.
Comments	She knew via my talk page that she would end up here if she carried on and once again she tried her luck. This will come into effect once her current 3 day block is up. Overview of Problems	Since arriving, this anon user has established a pattern of making questionable edits to userboxes. Sometimes, information such as a game's ratings or a Sim's playability is removed. Sometimes, information that is, at best, questionable is added. This user has also repeatedly shown disregard for the unreleased games policy. However, this user has made a few good contributions, and generally appears to be acting from good intentions and enthusiasm, so I think it's worth trying to keep them around.
User Restrictions	This user may not edit any infobox in any article; and may not edit or create any article or section about an unreleased game, expansion pack, or stuff pack, or about anything that may be in such a game or pack. Failure to abide by this restriction will result in a 1-day block. Subsequent offenses will stack. If this user believes that information should be added to or removed from an infobox, they may make the case for that in the appropriate article's talk page. If this user wishes to present information about an unreleased game, expansion pack, or stuff pack, or about anything that may be in such a game or pack, they will do so in the appropriate article's talk page.
Comments	This user is encouraged to use the sandbox to practice editing infoboxes. This user is also encouraged to use more diligence in checking information before adding it.

Probation

Users listed here have shown good behavior and are to be released from their restrictions pending an additional 30 days of good behavior. Users must be reasonably active during these 30 days in order for their restrictions to be lifted.
