It features an interior decorator active career, where Sims design buildings and rooms for clients, as well as several new types of furniture, including sectional seating, built-in stovetops and ovens, and toaster ovens.

Official description[]

KEY FEATURES

Know Your Clients – Each job requires a personalized touch. It’s not just about a client’s needs, but also their Preferences and their budget. What colors do they like? Are they inspired by music? What are their hobbies? You’ll need to tailor your designs with all of this in mind if you want a glowing recommendation.

Renovate, Redecorate, Remodel – Whether it’s revamping a single room, redoing an entire lot, or refurbishing a commercial space, your goal is to make your clients happy. You’re in charge of all the details. Now, flexible furnishings like sectional sofas, modular shelving, and built-in stovetops and ovens offer more thoughtful choices than ever.

The Big Reveal – When you finish the project, show it off! Hopefully, your work inspires happy crying instead of tears of disappointment. Unveil the results to see how your clients react to their personalized home makeover, complete with Before and After comparisons. Transform lives by transforming spaces!

New features[]

Interior decorator career[]

With the interior decorator career, Sims can accept gigs to renovate buildings. At lower levels they will only be able to renovate one room at a time, but at higher levels they can renovate (or add) entire floors. Interior decorators have to get to know their clients first before completing a renovation for them. Learning about a client's likes and dislikes is crucial in figuring out what they want out of a renovation, such as what style of décor they like and their favorite colors. If clients' preferences are ignored, they may pay a lot less than promised and the interior decorator's reputation will decrease. Decorators may even be fired if they act unprofessionally. Examples of unprofessional behavior include flirting with clients; eating, sleeping or showering on the job; and being nude. However, if decorators impress their clients, they will be promoted and be able to take on more challenging gigs.
