The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff (renamed as The Sims 2: Festive Holiday Stuff in the UK) is the fourth stuff pack released for The Sims 2 on November 7, 2006, and is a reissue of The Sims 2: Holiday Party Pack, with the addition of twenty new items. This pack is included in The Sims 2: Holiday Edition (2006).
Oddly, it also seems to have an expansion pack icon rather than a stuff pack one.
Description[]
Time to celebrate the holiday season once again. Have your Sims become bored with the gifts they got last year? Well here's your chance to liven them up again with the 2006 seasonal stuff. In this add-on, there are 60 items to bring cheer to your Sims' homes.[1]
Here's a sample of what you get:
- Holiday Home Décor
- The Holiday Lumberjack Statuette
- Huge Tree Extravaganza
- Ski Jump Frosty
- Holiday PJs
- Cheongsam
- Artic Santa
Features[]
The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff includes new gameplay and NPCs, such as Santa Claus, who will arrive at night when there are Santa cookies and a Christmas tree located near a fireplace. Sims can also throw a New Year's Bash (regardless of date, it can be celebrated any day); the difference between throwing a normal house party is that the New Year's Bash will always start at 8 PM (20:00) and Father Time will come at 11 PM (23:00). This party must be thrown between 7 PM (19:00) and 8 PM (20:00); otherwise, the police will shut down the party at 11 PM (23:00). [n 1]
Trivia[]
- This stuff pack was the last product made for The Sims 2 by Maxis Emeryville; all future development would be led by The Sims Studio.
- This is the last stuff pack for The Sims 2 that was made for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Future stuff packs for The Sims 2 would be released for Microsoft Windows computers only.
