Why doesn't the wiki page mention that you can become a witch by drinking a bottled witches brew? I think this is fundemental stuff, and it is kind of frustrating when I am trying to find the name of the potion needed on the witch page, so I can then look up the recipe... <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:90.201.56.144|90.201.56.144]] ([[User talk:90.201.56.144|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/90.201.56.144|contribs]]) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

If NPC means "Non-Player Controlled" wouldn't babies be NPC's? -Mjs961 00:38, 19 March 2009 (UTC) - I guess

NPC stands for non-playable character. Bakerychaz (talk page) 12:36, June 24, 2012 (UTC)

Help! How do you cast a spell? Sparrowsong 04:01, April 12, 2010 (UTC) - Click on the ground or a player and click Cast Spell

The Sims Medieval[]

A slight note I would like to make is that Witches are NOT playable in TSM. A female Wizard is called a "Sorceress" in this game, and the Witch is an enemy that appears in a quest.KayO199X 16:48, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

A Note on Non-Knowledge Good Witches[]

If a non-Knowledge sim becomes a good witch, he or she may be just fine with being witchy. This often happens in new neighbourhoods - these witches/warlocks will often not roll wants to be cured, and instead just go through the usual aspiration-specific wants, and occasionally roll a want to cast a spell. Even witches who want to be cured can eventually stop rolling these wants, and may start rolling wants to cast spells. Family members may even start to tolerate their relatives' witchy states as time passes, so the player can ignore their wishes for cures or fears of turning, and still keep their sims' aspiration levels from dropping too low.

Another good thing to do is to take the witch or family member to a community lot, or even out on a date or on vacation. This way, the wants and fears can be scrambled. Other useful tricks include having the sim with cure wants and witch-fears get abducted by aliens, fined, visited by the Repo Man, sprayed by a skunk, burn food, or see a fire, or even have a horrible date or be caught cheating. This may start clogging the want and fear slots with other things, and satisfying date wants and then ending the dream date before being turned can lessen the chance of aspiration failure should a fear of becoming a witch be fulfilled.

Supernatural separate page?[]

This section is going to get long after a few weeks due Supernatural's release on Witches and how differently they're approached compared to Apertment Life. Like the "Vampire (The Sims 3)" page, I think the Sims 3 should have it's own page for them.

Jeddings123 (talk) 06:27, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

Yes of course but then there should also be a werewolf(the sims 3) pageLeox1214 (talk) 14:10, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

I think it should absolutely have new page for Sims 3 witches. They are so different compared to previous witches through The Sims Series. Also the article on Sims 3 witches is so large it would easily manage it's own page especially as they are different to previous witches it would be much easier to have seperated pages to make sure there are no mix ups. Regarding Supernatural Hybrids (or lack there of)[]

I've recently removed (and added before) some of my observations.

"Witches cannot be hybrids with some of the supernatural classes: A Witch cannot be a Genie, nor can a Genie be a Witch. It is likely that there will not be a Witch/Fairy hybrid option either. (confirmation needed) However, a Genie can be assigned the hidden "Spellcasting" trait via 3rd party mods such as NRaas, which is the hidden trait that is common to Witches and vice versa. However, Genies with Witch's hidden trait can only use the "Conjure Apple" Interaction, while Witches that possesses the Genie trait will not be able to utilize any of the Genie power whatsoever, asides from protection from ensorceling."

Asides from the potential issue involving mods (mods aren't canon), I'd like to see this claim evaluated:

  • Lack of support for Supernatural Hybrids

I think if we're trying to improve articles from Supernatural, hybrids will come at the lowest priority. I guess we need to research more about the hybrids, but the hybrid page itself needs updating. I wonder which states are restricted to another. I still don't understand the terms between occult, non-occult, supernatural, and life state. :/ Nikel Talk Vote! 03:03, September 12, 2012 (UTC)
From further observation, a non-witch with the Spellcaster hidden trait can use the broom arena, and can be commanded into doing Runaway ride. However, I have noticed my non-witch with the said hidden trait doing an acrobatic ride on its own, which is not enabled in the pie menu. How Hard is It...?[]

How hard is it to learn the Reanimation Ritual? I wish there was a way to see a witch's experience.

96.253.201.36 (talk) 19:34, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

It is quite hard to learn the Reanimation Ritual, it is unlocked at level 10 Spell Casting Skill (hidden) but if you get your sims to keep up magical interactions and spells you will keep getting notifications that your witch is levelling up until you get to level 10.

Becoming a witch.[]

Are there other ways for sims to witches than creating them?

If you're talking about Supernatural, there's a level 9 elixir called "Bottled Witches' Brew" Dharden (talk) 12:55, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

How Do You become a Witch?[]

I've tried all I canto become a witch but i don't know how Oona Reamon (talk) 14:20, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

In Apartment Life, you must befriend a witch and ask them to turn your Sim into a witch. In Supernatural, you can acquire an Elixir to turn your Sim into a witch. Nikel Talk Vote! 14:43, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

There's another way to do. If your Sim is a witch in Supernatural, use one of the Elixir, which can turn other Sims into witches, to throw them. If you want to, click any Sims who is a human. User:Emma39653964 (User talk:Emma39653964) 11:26, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

Bottled Witches' Brew - Sims 3[]

Why doesn't the wiki page mention that you can become a witch by drinking a bottled witches brew? I think this is fundemental stuff, and it is kind of frustrating when I am trying to find the name of the potion needed on the witch page, so I can then look up the recipe... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.201.56.144 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

It is mentioned, under "Becoming a Witch / Warlock" section for Supernatural. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:47, January 10, 2014 (UTC)
