I noticed on some names when looking at the history (compared the current version to the last version edited by the vandal) of a page that sometimes it shows "block" by a recent edit. makes me wonder if you admins could block someone who has a wiki account or not who constantly vandalizes a page, like that user who kept changing the CAS part of this Late Night page.Bafendo 23:16, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, admins can block users and we do that when users make disruptive edits or disregard our policies. In the case of the 'breast slider CAS info' being edited away , it has been done by a new unregistrered user each time, so no block has been issued. Duskey(talk) 18:06, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

As for that person, there's a pretty good chance it's the same person, since the IP addresses are similar and both track to the same location. I wanted to let unregistered, new and other editors know that the current place holder should not be changed until EA releases the official english box art. Also the regions should not be changed, they are US and EU.Bafendo 11:47, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

The block I put in place was temporary, to try to combat the removal of a certain piece of information by unregistered contributors. Looking at the edit history, no real acts of vandalism have taken place recently; the replacing of the box cover isn't being done maliciously, it's just out of lack of understanding. I would say that the article should be open to edit, pending the possibility of vandalism. Downtown

• Will the new downtown area be a new york city type of map or is this simcity? Will future sims 3 expansion packs be based on real life cities in the united states?

Transportation

it makes me think that the October release date is wrong. it has to be November like World Adventures. if it was October we would have the official box art and would be able to preorder from EA, but alas we can't. they could also be waiting to release it so there's not two versions of the cover, like there was with Ambitions. this is just my opinion though. Well, on one hand it is a high-profile page and it does and will continue to get traffic, especially as we near the release date. On the other hand, vandalism hasn't exactly been rampant lately. Release Date and current devolopment status.

i'm having a hard time believing the October release date for Late Night. One reason is that it's still under devolopment and that one of the newest previews from Game Pro list the game being in the Alpha stage of devolopment.[2]

There was also mention that the town of Bridgeport is not complete as some things are not in the right place.

During the Twitterview, a twitter user asked this question (viewable here: [4]): "@TheSims3 when can you say that the release date is going to be?" Box Art

I did not. Someone uploaded a slightly better version as a new image. I simply uploaded it over the "old" box art instead and edited the orginal filename back. The file is being linked to on other pages so we can't upload a new image every time the box art comes in a better version. The fact that it's the "old old" box art showing is an image cache issue and will correct itself shortly. I'll be sure to add a better edit summary in the future. Photos

Wanted to mention that the alignment of galleries by default is set to left, and that's what it should stay. Noticed that a few users have been centering the gallery alignment with or without adding new pics. also note that this applies for the small gallery on Late Night's page and in The Sims 3: Late Night/gallery. Improving other careers

I read on a forum that the Music and Sports careers will get improved in Late Night, similar to how the Medicine became the Doctor career in Ambitions but I can't find any info on it. Perhaps it was just wishful thinking, but the wording on the forum made it sound like they were quoting from a preview or article about the game. Duskey(talk) 13:13, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Also, a rumor is spreading that the elevators coming will only be stationary in the "shell" apartments and that they won't be implemented in normal houses. Again, no source to confirm this. Duskey(talk) 13:13, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

The official game icon still hasn't been found on EA servers, but there are some speculations from different previews. Until it's confirmed, let's keep the icons off the page.

The second is better. The color of plasma... what better than a plasma filled orb with a plumbob inside it. you know since the biggest thing in Late Night is Vampires... Rap or hip-hop?

It states that the new radio station wil be hip-hop, but in the radio station article, it said that the new raidio station wil be rap, so wich is it?

in a new demo of Late Night by Game Spot, Grant mentions at the end that the release date is October 26th World Wide. this being less then a week away now if what he's said is true than the Euro launch date is now the same as North America's. Why?

It's only semi-protected, so most registered users should still be able to edit it. It was done because the page has been experiencing, and will continue to experience for a few weeks, very high traffic and a high rate of editing. Hmm okay. I could edit it but my account isn't at the right age of days. So anyway, I have notice an increased amount in editing aswell - I just need it for adding more photos or certain things like that.

Does she appear?

I wonder if someone who has Late Night, has yet found out if Mrs. Crumplebottom appears in it, does she?

Mrs. Crumplebottom is either not born or just a baby during The Sims 3, and Miss Crumplebottom from Sims 1 is Agnes Crumplebottom in Sims 3.

Well, the many times I have played it already (:P) I have not seen Mrs. Crumplebottom anywhere, so i'm stating that she doesn't exist in the Late Night because she is in the base game.

I haven't lately seen any returning families yet. But i'll maybe run into some.

Also: I stated this before, but it is true... Agnes Crumplebottom, or Mrs. Crumplebottom, doesn't exist in the Late Night expansion pack, but she does exist in the base game.
