*While i would agree normally. The Gurus have made a very clear distinction between Witches and Spellcasters, the fact there's gonna be 4 different magical types, they're having their own potions, perks, and curses. Theres a familiar system. We don't know much about the lifestate right now and they will go further in depth. From the looks of it. it seems they're different. Besides, under that logic, we should merge the Simbot, Plumbot, Servo pages all under one page for Robots. The Gurus have only called them Wizards and Spellcasters and never once called them Witches. WizardJeremy (talk) 18:31, August 20, 2019 (UTC)

** Witches also have familiars, potions, curses and different types of magic, though. If perks make them distinct enough, then vampires in The Sims 4 should also have their own page. Also, Simbots, Plumbots and Servos are much more different from each other than spellcasters are from witches. I think the name change was just to make it more gender-neutral. - ✨AireDaleDogz✨ (talk) 18:35, August 20, 2019 (UTC)

*** Well, it's speculated that the given "spell caster" name was intented to group different terms (mages, witches, warlocks, etc.) into one, since there's been disputing between simmers what such said practisoner sims should be called. That's highly supported opinion than there being gender-neutral classification reason. As for the discussion is here, well - whether the articles should be combined or not will have to be decided on once enough official information affliated to this occult will be revealed. If spellcasters are not too heavily different from witches, I don't see much harm in combining just because terms are different. Witches are techically spellcasters, and the difference can be highligted and emphasis in respective game section under one article. I would also bet, that witches will still be commonly used by players for TS4 ones despite official term being different. I don't think this issue will lead to confusion.

Merge with Witch?[]

  • While i would agree normally.
    • Witches also have familiars, potions, curses and different types of magic, though.
