Sims 3 Find

I'm not a user, but when I was building on my lot in The Sims 3 it said "Made In America" in the description of the "Feng Shui Half Wall".—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.228.42.67 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Breakthrough Discovery?

  • I discovered something interesting about SimNation while exploring the School in free-camera mode:

SimNation?

If this image is correct, SimNation is a Mirror-Image United States.{{SUBST:Kalasig}} 05:31, February 11, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Breaktrough Discovery ?

No it's not, on the other side of the school, there is a normal map of the USA:

    • That's a neat map you've made there, but I always envisioned Pleasantview, Strangetown, and Veronaville as being suburbs of Sim City, reason being that Sim City is mentioned a lot, as if it is nearby. For example, the private school in The Sims 2 is called "Sim City Academy." The pizza deliverer in The Sims 1 says he came to "your house" all the way from Sim City (on foot). Downtown and Bluewater Village seem to be convenient to all three Sims 2 neighborhoods. The phone company in those neighborhoods is SCTC, probably standing for Sim City Telephone Company, which I suspect the game makers intended to be a regional telecom company similar to Cincinnati Bell (although I always depict it in-game as Sprint-Centel Telecommunications Corporation, a real life company that is part of CenturyLink). By the way, sorry for resurrecting a year old thread. PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 18:33, March 29, 2013 (UTC)

MV and AS

Is it safe to assume that Monte Vista and Aurora Skies are outside the SimNation? They're based on Italian and Icelandic themes, respectively, but could it mean they're inside or outside SimNation? Nikel Talk Vote! 15:18, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Hard to decide, can we find any evidence which proves that they are outside or inside the SimNation? Prah (talk) 16:28, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Not that I know of. The only thing I can say is that the Parrott family bio in Appaloosa Plains mentions about coming from Hawaii, which in turns their relatives are in Sunlit Tides. I think it implies that the "Hawaii" is Sunlit Tides, which is... not part of the SimNation land? Not sure either, but if there's no proof that they're not part of SimNation, we could say they are part of SimNation then. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:46, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

Red City, the enemy of SimNation?

In a few chance cards in the Military Career there is an enemy named Red City (Communism parody of Sim City?). This might be evidence that the sims are in a "cold war". Prah (talk) 16:32, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

In The Sims 2 or The Sims 3? That's interesting to know. Nikel Talk Vote! 16:48, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

This is what I found in Military chance card level 9. It did mention RedCity, but not its relationship with SimNation.

Perhaps I missed something, but I don't know. Nikel Talk Vote! 09:06, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

I know it doesn't seem too obvious, but to me these chance cards reminds me of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Race

And also, I think there are some other chance cards mentioning Red City (I'll check, but I won't post pic since I have my game in Swedish and it will be all gibberish for you :P) Prah (talk) 11:35, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Military Chance card level 1: Second answer, bad outcome. Mentions "sausage war" between SimCity and RedCity which is held during 7 hours.
Military Chance card level 6: Description mentions that the unidentified object might come from RedCity. And another reference to the cold war is made here with mentioning that on "international water is alright to shoot away missiles on since the rules are a bit dizzy about when it's about who blew up who first." Prah (talk) 12:01, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
It seems that there are a number of references to RedCity, which are probably only mentioned in Military chance card. I don't think I need to capture every single dialog, so let's try to sum up the relationship between RedCity and SimNation / SimCity. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:44, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
SimCity and RedCity are obviously enemies. In this scenario, SimCity is depicted almost as an independent nation rather than part of SimNation, so the logical explanation is that SimCity is the capitol of SimNation, and RedCity is the capitol of RedNation (think D.C. vs. Moscow). Though I always thought of SimNation as more of a state/province within a larger United States of Fiction than its own country, largely due to the fact that the name of a university in The Sims 2, Sim State University, seems to imply so. I've always placed SimNation right along the side of other fictional places from video games, such as The Mushroom Kingdom, DK Isle, and San Andreas, so perhaps Red City is where all of the villains come from. Hint on SimGolf

One of Mortimer Goth's quotes from SimGolf refers to the purgatory, something that might gave us a hint that some premade sims are Christians. Maybe they are more sims with a reference to religion. ChispiGon (talk) 00:07 January, 8th, 2015 (UTC).

  • I do not agree. I believe that the mention of purgatory just shows that the Peterans and Jacobans still exist, because in TSM they talk about hell, purgatory, and all this fire and brimstone. 187.84.95.13 (talk) 18:25, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

Custom SimWorld map

Here is my custom SimNation map. I'll explain certain parts below.

Aegep: Houses Al Simhara and the Simharan desert. Equivilent of Egypt and the Middle East.

Francae: Houses Champs Le Sims and Acadime Le Tour. Equivilent of Gaul (France & the low countries).

Borealia: Houses Three Lakes, Granite Falls, Dragon Valley, and Red City. Equivilent of Russia and Scandinavia.

Alskop: Houses nothing in the sims games so far. Equivilent of Germania (Eastern Europe).

Cyechi: Houses Shang Simila. Equivilent of China and Hinduistan.

Nikop: Houses Takemizu Village. Equivilent of Japan and Oceania.

So, what do you guys think? Should this be on the SimNation page? Is it good? Leave some feedback.

Paladinluke (talk) 01:10, December 25, 2015 (UTC)

The map looks awesome and the explanations for each neighborhood are spot on! Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 02:56, December 25, 2015 (UTC)
Good job, but since it's not canon it has no place on the SimNation page... DarkSuicune2000 17:15, December 25, 2015 (UTC)
I second DarkSuicune. Excellent map for a fanon or user page, but without official confirmation it's probably best not to put it in the main article. Vpetmad (talk) 18:20, December 25, 2015 (UTC)
I wondered too this morning. But this is only for improving the page, not questions or speculations. Sims Plumbob Player (talk) (mistakes) 19:09, December 25, 2015 (UTC)

Findings in the intro of the PS2 release of the Sims 2.

There is one scene where it shows the alien about to crash. If you look closely at the earth, you can see a mirrored version of the United States of America. So, Sims 3 was right about the geography of SimNation. Alexanderthenicest (talk) 20:30, January 9, 2016 (UTC)
