Talbot Contrary is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Desiderata Valley, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: FreeTime. He was the son of Darren and Tessica, the husband of Emma Contrary (née Henderson), the father of Edward and the grandfather of Rick.
Talbot is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Fortune aspiration, and the Capricorn zodiac sign. As far as personality, Talbot is very playful, somewhat neat and a little bit nice, but he is very lazy and somewhat shy. According to Edward's memories, Talbot died while Opal, Edward's wife, was pregnant with Rick.
Edward's memories show that Talbot died right after his wife did, which suggests that he may have been much younger than her. A similar thing happens with Ruth Bell. Talbot is one of the few ancestral Sims to die as an adult, so he died a premature death. According to his age data, he had 29 days left in the adult life stage when he died. Despite his aspiration, he isn't interested in Money.
Talbot's eyebrows and eyes use the 21st Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Since that is one of the two broken face templates, these features will change if Talbot is resurrected and aged to something different. The ears, nose, mouth, and jaw on the other hand use the 1st face template. Also the jaw is slightly longer. However the jaw is only longer on teen, adult, and elder females, which may mean that the jaw was genetically passed down, as this oddity generally only occurs on Sims whose facial features were genetically passed down.
According to Talbot's SimDNA in SimPE, his dominant genetics are for black hair and grey eyes, and his recessive genetics are for red hair and green eyes. This is unusual given that he has a blond beard and eyebrows. Talbot's dominant skin tone range is for dark skin, even though both his dominant and recessive alleles are for tanned skin, and his recessive skin tone range is also for tanned skin.
