Music and Dance enthusiasm
Size 1x1

"The BOB 3942" synthesizer is a musical instrument introduced in The Sims 2: FreeTime. It can be used by children and up. Using it builds creativity and enthusiasm for the Music and Dance hobby.

The synthesizer has its own interactions. Sims can practice on it or perform random tracks. Sims with higher creativity can create custom tracks, which they can save and perform.

Unlike most other musical instruments in The Sims 2, a synthesizer can break, and must be repaired. Sims are also able to tinker with it.

The name "BOB 3942" may be a reference to Robert Moog, the inventor of the Moog synthesizer, while the appearance is reminiscent of the Doepfer modular systems.
