Squidy Inkbeard is a pre-made deceased Sim who resided in Barnacle Bay. He drowned as a young adult and is buried in the Barnacle Boneyard. He is Victoria's younger brother. Like all deceased Sims in Barnacle Bay, he has pale green skin, grey hair and is barefoot. He is stated to be the oldest ghost in Barnacle Bay, and disapproves of the new, noisy ghosts.
Oddly, both Squidy and Victoria's sister-in-law, Vera, have the Inkbeard surname. This causes confusion on whether Victoria takes her husband's last name or the other way around, because both spouses' sibling has the same surname. However, it's worth noting that in the family description and Squidy's bio it is stated that the family earned their surname from killing a giant squid. Vera's ancestors and Squidy's ancestors might have both been involved in the history, thus granting them the same surname.
Squidy's name might refer to squids; marine creatures who use ink as a defense.
