Social groups in The Sims 3: University Life are groups of townies. They consist of Jocks, Nerds, and Rebels. Being in a social group and doing compatible activities increases this social group hidden skill.
Social groups in The Sims 4 are types of social groups across multiple packs. So far packs that include a social group are The Sims 4: Get Together, The Sims 4: Discover University, and The Sims 4: Werewolves.
The Sims 3: University[]
Reaching level 8 in any social group unlocks an additional trait slot for the Sim. A trait related to the social group is proposed to fill this slot, but it may be exchanged for any other eligible trait. The original five traits and the university graduation trait cannot be edited during this selection, and the new social group trait must be compatible with those traits. Reaching level 8 in an additional social group permits the trait in the social group trait slot to be changed.
Jock[]
Jocks are a socially motivated group that are great at balancing the social life with other needs.

Clubs[]
Clubs are a social group introduced in The Sims 4: Get Together, allowing Sims to band together and do activities. Clubs have their own rules of dos and don'ts and some clubs require an invitation to get in.
Organizations[]
Organizations are a social group introduced in The Sims 4: Discover University, these groups are groups that specialise in certain activities across the two campuses of Britechester; Foxbury Institute and University of Britechester. Each university has 3 organizations each and have their own events and activities across campus.
Werewolf packs[]
Werewolf packs are social groups werewolves can join within Moonwood Mill. There are two werewolf packs; The Wildfangs and The Moonwood Collective. Both werewolf pack has their own values and ranks, and werewolf Sims can become a part of one or even both packs to retain special benefits and interactions.
