Skeletons are a summonable NPC and temporary life state in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure. The NPCs function as temporary helpers that can do chores and look after children while their parents are away. Skeletons can be summoned through a rare relic and do not have bladder, hunger, energy and hygiene needs. Sims can also become skeletons for 2 days through the use of the relic.

When a skeleton eats food, piles of food will spawn and if a skeleton drinks something, puddles spawn. They have special interactions like telling a skeleton joke or scaring a Sim.

It is possible to make a skeleton playable by using Cloning machine on one. The resulting skeleton will have all skeleton features, except it will not be able to do special interactions like scaring or skeleton jokes. Trying to edit a skeleton will show it as a normal Sim, but no changes applied will be visible after exiting editing screen (except for a family screen picture, which also shows an added skeleton as a normal Sim).

It is also possible to make a skeleton playable by using cheats. The player can press down on Control, Shift and C (or alternatively, Command, Shift and C on Mac) a cheat dialogue box will appear. Type in testingcheats true and press Enter. Skeletons spawn in temples. When the player sees one, they can click on it while holding the the up arrow key. There will be an option to add the skeleton to the household.

Skeletons added to the household by cheats are fully playable but act more like "normal" Sims. They will need to use the toilet, eat, sleep, etc. At the same time, you get to keep all the special interactions, for example if you try to change the skeleton's clothes, it reads "Skeletons cannot do this".

Trivia

  • A mod at ModTheSims allows many of the special interactions to be playable.
  • If you add a skeleton to your household by cheating, you can look at the skeleton's family tree.
  • A skeleton named "Sans", possibly as a reference to hit indie game Undertale, has two sons with skeleton pun names. They are called Humerus Knogle and Kal C.M Knogle.
  • Sans Knogle, one of the skeleton characters, had level 10 Mischief when he joined my household (via cheating) and his aspiration is to become a good vampire.
  • I haven't tried giving a skeleton vampirism yet but the above trivia suggests it is possible.
  • If you add a skeleton to your household by cheating, you may experience a temporary glitch where the skeleton loses it's blue mosiac like pattern and looks like a normal plain white skeleton.
  • It's very possible that seducing, romancing or Woohooing a skeleton isn't possible. There are no romantic socials available when you first meet a skeleton. It is unclear (as nobody on the Wiki has tried it yet) whether having a high friendship with a skeleton causes the romantic socials to reappear. If you find this out, please edit this page and let us know.
