Not to be confused with Simoleons.

A SimPoint is a form of currency in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 Store.

The Sims 2

SimPoints in The Sims 2 were purchased in different sized bundle amounts using real life currency.[1] $1 USD could purchase up to 100 SimPoints.

The option to purchase additional SimPoints was removed from The Sims 2 Store on March 9, 2011, 22 days before the store was closed down. Players could still use their SimPoints up until March 31. The balance of SimPoints a user had was directly connected with their EA account, meaning that they could be transferred for use on The Sims 3 Store, provided that they had registered to be a member of The Sims 3 community.[2]
