Seth Bui is one of the pre-made repairmen residing in Veronaville, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. The other two repairmen are Blair Jayapalan and Ray Long. He can be made playable by befriending and asking him to move in, or by marrying him.
Seth has the Knowledge aspiration and Pisces zodiac sign. As far as personality goes, he is quite neat, active and playful, but somewhat grouchy and extremely shy. When it comes to skills, he has maximized mechanical and is close to maximizing creativity. He is mostly interested in politics, travel and crime. He has 0 interest points in Sci-Fi which is relatively uncommon, given that almost all other NPCs, young adult and up have 4 points in Sci-Fi. However, it is not uncommon for NPCs that were created before, or at the same time as the playable and deceased Sims. He has grey hair, light blue eyes and medium skin. He has the same facial structure as Phoenix Almassizadeh, a Four Corners townie. According to his SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond, before it turned grey.
Seth has the lowest instance number in the neighborhood, which is uncommon for an NPC. However, there is some indication that his character file overwrote an earlier Sim's data when NPC's were being generated in Veronaville. A file within the lot data for 111 Stratford Street suggests the earlier Sim's name was Viola. Whether Viola was intended to be a playable Sim or a reference to a character from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night is unknown.
Sometimes, if Seth is made playable, his Plumbob will be inside him, instead of above his head. This happens with several other NPCs in The Sims 2.
