Sarah Holden is a pre-made playable Sim residing in Midnight Hollow. Before the game started, she was kidnapped by scientist Roderick Synapse. This fact, her personality and general appearance make her a spoof of Sally, from The Nightmare before Christmas.
Roderick is said to dislike love but still wanted to figure out how it works, so he decided to kidnap Sarah, as she is considered to be the sweetest girl in the town. In fact, Sarah has a wide variety of friends and acquaintances when the game starts, having also 8 skill points in charisma. The label could be also attributed to her due to her good, hopeless romantic and friendly traits.
Sarah is romantically interested in Jack Limb, spoof of Jack Skellington, who is enemies with her kidnapper and has another romantic interest, Katarina Stewart. However, Sarah's relationship level with Jack is much higher than Katarina's with him. In fact, their relationship is almost maxed out. Unlike Katarina, Sarah is also mentioned in Jack's household biography, where Jack is said to be drafting a plan to rescue her from Dr. Synapse. It appears that Sarah and Jack are meant to be in love.
Sarah is also friends with Julian Poirot, Lucien Hyde and the Flynns, except for Cora. Sarah dislikes her kidnapper.
Sarah starts off unemployed. Her charisma skill level would, however, put her ahead in the political career branch, should the player choose that job for her.

- Sarah has white eyes, which is unusual for a Sim. She shares this feature with the Salas family.
- The book Sarah carries in her inventory could be a hint to Sally's premonition in the movie, where she predicts Jack's plans for Christmas will end in disaster.
- Her name might be a reference to SimGuru Sarah Holding.
- Sarah could also be a parody of Emily, the corpse bride, from Corpse Bride.
- For storyline purposes, it is possible to have her held as hostage in her own home. With the latest patch, the game allows the players to have doors locked for specific Sims. If the access to the outside door is forbidden to Sarah, she will have no option but to live as a captive.
