Ron Jayapalan (or Luna Orphan in the UK version) is one of the pre-made NPC animal control officers who appear in every neighborhood that is updated with the Pets secret sub-neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Pets. The other two animal control officers are Rosemarie Wolosenko and Renee Chin. He can be made playable by befriending him and asking him to move in, or by marrying him.
Ron has the same facial structure as Jihoon Fuchs. His name is randomized when Pets is generated. The name "Ron Jayapalan" is only referenced in the game files. Even though he has black hair, his SimDNA in SimPE confirms that his natural hair color is brown.
Despite being a Knowledge Sim, Ron has the lifetime want to reach the top of the Slacker career. This want makes him compatible, at least in theory, with a Romance or Pleasure Sim, though he would have better chemistry with a Family or Fortune Sim.
Except for English, he has a biography which is either "DogTemplate" or "No need to translate". Some languages have it translated instead of being left in English.
