Adventurous Sims live the challenge of scaling mountain cliffs, and getting better at this physical skill will unlock new ways to climb as well as allow access to new areas and vistas.
Rock climbing is a secret skill in The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff and a regular skill in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape. In Fitness Stuff it goes up to level 5 and Sims build it using the climbing wall. Using the climbing wall also builds the Snowy Escape version of the skill, but Sims will more typically gain it while climbing Mt. Komorebi's mountain.[1]

| 3 | Ability to "Do Pre-Stretch Climbing" and attempt to climb on medium Climbing Route. |
| 4 | Ability to "Chalk Hands" for a chance of successful climb. Sims can further potential on medium Climbing Route at difficult climbing challenges. |
| 5 | Sims are able to "Breaking Point Climbing Session" on medium height Climbing Route. Unlocks the Climbing Suit in Create a Sim. |
| 6 | Sims are able to attempt climbing the tallest Climbing Route. Ability to "Ask about the Beta of a Route" on other Sims. |
| 7 | Ability to self-craft Energy Bars and "Climb Cautiously" on the tallest Climbing Route. |
| 8 | Ability to Practice, Meticulous or Breaking Point Climbing Sessions on the tallest Climbing Route. |

Rock climbing skill is available for teens and older. Sims who are focused are able to build this skill better. Sims can build this skill in the following ways:
- Climb through the climbable rock walls within Mt. Komorebi.
- Reading rock climbing skill books.
- Research handhold techniques using the computer. (Requires level 3 of this skill)
- Workout using the climbing wall fitness equipment.[TS4:FS]
- Sitting in on a rock climbing skill class.[TS4:DU]
