The Sims 4

Reward events are limited-time events for The Sims 4 where players can complete tasks to earn various rewards. The rewards include Create a Sim items, build mode objects, Sim traits, aspirations, lot traits and challenges, food recipes, and radio stations.

The events generally run for a month, and unclaimed rewards become unobtainable after they end, as event progress is tracked using the player's EA account. The Happy at Home Login Event is so far the only event where rewards remained available after the event ended; they were added to the base game for all players in patch 169.

After unlocking players had access to the content permanently, however, at the time the rewards were being added to the player's account, they were logged in the usersetting.ini file within the documents folder for the game. This had the unfortunate effect of erasing the items already unlocked if the player did not make a backup copy of their usersettings file from either deleting it or from creating a new install of The Sims 4.

Due to this ongoing issue and a change in the event rewards system; The Sims Direct announced that all the Happy At Home rewards will be unlocked for everyone in base game.[3]
