Name | Ravenwood |
Game | The Sims 4: Life & Death |
Ravenwood is a world included in The Sims 4: Life & Death expansion pack.
Description[]
Things always get a little spooky in Ravenwood. The Whispering Glen with its nightly Moon Revelry festivities is perhaps the most "normal" part of the area, where locals have settled down for a slice of quiet, country life. Crow's Crossing village, however, is clearly quite haunted - swings swaying by themselves, that Merchant fellow down by the Crypt, scary little Edith guarding the Well of Longing and Regret,... But despite the hauntings, the living have certainly made it their home as well with a variety of festivals and places to explore. Mourningvale is where things get extra ethereal! It's well known as a home for Ghosts and those seeking them. Sometimes Grim even stops by!
Overview[]
Ghosts & Grim
Want some Ghosts? Mourningvale is a literal ghost town, and Crow's Crossing village is clearly haunted! Soak in the spooky during Ravenwood's many festivals, become a temporary Ghost by taking a dip in the Baleful Bog, and possibly even run into Grim himself.
Memorial Sites
Crypts, Cemeteries, the Afterlife Anonymous meeting, and little consoling Specters! Ravenwood is the perfect place to lift the spirits.
Chilling Collections

Households[]
New Families[]
- Izadi-Gomes household
- §30,000
- Esther Gomes, Zuleika Izadi
- Esther Gomes was already looking for a ghostly roommate when poor Zuleika met her end in a rather unfortunate Cowplant "accident" and also found herself looking for a new home in the same neighborhood. Now the two are sharing a home, and Esther is teaching Zuleika the ins-and-outs of ghostly living and career development working for Grim.
- Gomes family
- §52,170
- Tziporah Gomes, Radwan Gomes, Zelmira Gomes
- Having tried being a ghost on for size, Radwan and Tziporah Gomes have decided that being a Ghost isn't for them - at least, not quite yet. Meanwhile, Radwan has his hands full keeping his clumsy wife from meeting Grim a little too soon. In the midst of all this chaos, their child Zelmira has plunged headfirst into their own study of the afterlife after finding a tarot card on a walk alone one day. Now, Zelmira's embracing their inner Macabre side and finding unique connections in the family's past to a very special member of the Goth family. Things definitely seem to be getting a bit spooky for this household!
- Aether family
- §75,000
- Kai Aether, Ekade Aether, Takama Aether
- After a miscommunication with a pet Crow, Kai Aether found himself in a less corporeal form than expected. It's a story familiar to so many families, but there's an unfortunate wrinkle to this story that has made things extremely stressful for not just Kai's husband, Ekade, but also for their son, Takama - you see, not only does Kai not seem to understand that he's dead, he also doesn't believe in Ghosts. Period. Awkward, right? But with the help of a local support group and with the love of his family, maybe Kai will start to see the light.
Returning Families[]
- Specter family
- §100,000
- Olive Specter, Nyon Specter, Layne Coffin
- The Specter family has an air of mystery to them: rumor has it that Olive's prior husbands all met unfortunate ends, which makes things rather awkward now that she's engaged to Layne Coffin, the founding and sole member of the band Withering Widdershins. Does Layne know his soon-to-be Specter spouse has skeletons in her closet? He's definitely not going to be asking too many questions about her son Nyon's mysterious parentage. Let's just say that maybe Grim's not keeping tabs on their household solely because of Olive's past loves.
NPCs[]
- Lady Ravendancer Goth
- Waylon Warez (Mysterious Merchant)
- Alice (Weeping Mother)
- Edith
- Freddy
- Percival the Patient (Ghost Cowplant)
Graves[]
There are a multitude of graves scattered around Ravenwood, with most being empty graves with no epitaph. However, there are a handful of graves with pre-inscribed epitaphs that reveal lore around certain characters, these are:
- Ann
Beloved Mother and Wife
Ann dedicated her life to the education of children, and she inspired so many. She was the one Sim everyone agreed on.
Died from drowning
Loved yet misunderstood, with a hint of playful mischief when the moon is only partially ashine. A true moon child.
Jilted lover of Olive Specter
“For what is worse than losing love but losing love at such a young age!”
m. Olive Specter
“Though he was a stoic and quiet man, a stiff upper lip is its own virtue.”
m. Olive Specter
“Oh, to have shed thy mortal coil with such reckless abandon!”
m. Olive Specter
“If a body meets a body bring him Pumpkin Pie.”
Seasons[]
With Seasons installed, Ravenwood experiences mild and cooler weather throughout the year compared to other worlds. Spring and fall tend to be cool and cloudy or rainy. Summers are mostly warm and sunny, but neither experiencing hotter temperatures nor heat waves. Most of the rain occurs during the winter, where temperatures can be drop as low as cold. However, freezing temperatures and snow are not experienced in Ravenwood.
Trivia[]
- Ravenwood is based on Transylvania. The architecture is mainly based on the Romanian Revival style.
