Proper is a social trait in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape. It is first available as a child, and it conflicts with the cringe, disruptive, grouch, mean and slob traits.

These Sims tend to disapprove of other Sims' improper behavior such as Mean or Mischievous socials, but find themselves happier in Formal Outfits and have a much easier time with Friendly and Romantic socials.

Attributes

• Dressing in formal outfits will grant proper Sims a happy moodlet.
• Proper Sims will bow when they greet other Sims, and the "Friendly Introduction" option is replaced with "Respectful Introduction".
  • Other types of introductions, such as "Enchanting Introduction" (unlocks at Level 8 Charisma skill), "Polite Introduction" (young adults and older with Good Manners trait only), "Howdy Introduction" and "Tomarani Introduction", are retained however.
• More "respectful" romantic interactions also replace the usual ones:
  • Attempt to Swoon
  • Court
  • Propose Scandalous Question
• Proper Sims will refuse to use a hot spring until they have bathed or showered first.
• When a Proper Sim quits their job, they get a +2 Uncomfortable moodlet.
• Proper Sims aren't able to start a fight. However, if another Sim gets into a fight with a proper Sim, the proper Sim will receive a Give a What For confident +2 moodlet upon winning the fight.
• Proper Sims will get a +2 angry moodlet when witnessing inappropriate behavior from other Sims.
• Proper Sims will get a +2 happy moodlet instead of +1 when they got promoted.
