The PowerMax 50x120 is an object introduced in The Sims 3: Showtime. Sims can do chin-ups with it, which builds their athletic skill and improves the strength (as opposed to cardio) aspect of a Sim's fitness.
As with weight machines (but in contrast to treadmills), werewolves[TS3:SN] in werewolf mode gets a significant Athletic skill gain boost when using the PowerMax.
Though resorts[TS3:ST] are supposed to get a star rating boost from fitness objects, the PowerMax does not count towards such.
It is not entirely clear what "50x120" refers to, as it does not match any commonly used size measurement units.
