Sims who wish to engulf their lives with pottery can find that they can make all kinds of different items. Sims can customize the design, color, name, and description of the objects they make. Sims with a higher creativity skill earn pottery badges sooner.

Ceramic Creations[]
The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies[]

Pottery returns as a skill and activity in The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies. Sims can use pottery to craft a variety of ceramic items such as vases, planters, tea sets, stands, incense burners, lanterns, etc. to which they can display around their home or utilize depending on their functionality. Pottery can also be used with small businesses for Sims to make money selling their ceramic designs or by teaching others in the pottery skill.
From blobs of clay to beautiful masterpieces! Those with the Pottery skill make their own ceramic creations that can enhance a home or be sold to eager customers!
Pottery skill can be gained from molding a Lump of Clay, making ceramics at the Pottery Wheel or glazing them at the Pottery Kiln. Increasing this skill will unlock new ceramic designs the Sim can explore!
Pottery can be mentored at Skill level 5 from the Pottery Wheel or Pottery Kiln.
Sims can use the pottery wheel to mold their ceramic design and then they can choose a glaze to add color and decoration to the ceramic before needing to put it in the kiln to harden the ceramic.

Sims who use the pottery wheel can craft an array of designs:
Glazes[]
When a Sim has finished their ceramic design, before they put it to be finished in the kiln, they can add one of the following glazes, which gives it a certain color, texture, or pattern.
Breaking & Repairing[]

Sims can experience their pottery to break by themselves, mischievous Sims, or pets. When broken, pottery leaves behind it's pieces which Sims can clean up the pieces to throw away, or if the Sim has achieved level 7 of the pottery skill; they can repair it.
Repairing, also known as the art of Kintsugi, puts the pieces back together but not completely as the repaired seams will be visible which can add an extra layer of detail.
When Sims reach level 10 of the pottery skill, they can apply the unbreakable glaze to their pottery to prevent any breakings.
