The Ottomas (
Listen) family is a pre-made family available with The Sims 2: Seasons. After Seasons is installed, they appear in the family bin for all neighborhoods. The family consists of six Sims; Dora, Peter, Samantha, David, Sharla, and Tommy Ottomas. Dora is Peter's mother, and Peter is married to Samantha. They have three children; David, Sharla, and Tommy. At the start of the game, Samantha is on her second trimester of pregnancy with twins. Character files of the Ramaswami and Ottomas family members can be found in every neighborhood of The Sims Castaway Stories using SimPE.
Onomatology
Ottomas (In some languages it could mean Ottoman): of or belonging to Arabic masc.; proper name "Uthman". The name "Ottomas" could be made to sound like the Spanish words: "Otro más," which means "another one". "Otto" also means "eight" in Italian, which could be a nudge to the number of soon-to-be inhabitants of the house. This would make sense as there is another baby (or in this case, babies) on the way.
Dora: Short form of "Dorothy", "Isidora" or "Theodora" used mostly in English and Dutch families.
Peter: Meaning "stone", the name of Peter the Apostle and of two famous Saints from the 11th and 13th centuries.
Samantha: Feminine form of "Samuel", possibly meaning "flower" in Greek.
David: From Hebrew, meaning "beloved", David was the second most important King in Israel.
Sharla: Variant of "Charla".
Tommy: Diminutive of "Thomas".

What's wrong with the Ottomas twins?
On instances of the game without the Seasons patch, there is a known bug that gives the twins a random parent instead of listing Peter as the father. Their father is nearly always a random Sim. It could be a townie, an NPC (e.g. the Repo-man or Grim Reaper), a child, a woman, or even a pet - and in some cases, Samantha is the only parent and in those cases the twins are both boys because they are Samanthas clones. Due to this bug, the twins are occasionally born missing body parts. This was addressed in the Seasons patch, but the patch does not fix instances of the family that have already been generated or played with prior to its installation.
