Octavius Capp (né Caesar) is a pre-made deceased ancestral who resided during his lifetime in Veronaville, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2, and briefly, Roaring Heights. He is the son of Julius and Calpurnia Caesar, the husband of Scribonia, the father of the recently deceased Contessa, the maternal grandfather of Goneril, Regan, Kent and the late Cordelia, and the great-grandfather of Tybalt, Juliette, Hermia, Miranda, Hal, Desdemona and Ariel.
Biography[]
Life leading up to The Sims 2[]
Octavius, his parents, and his wife, are buried in the Capp Manor graveyard. Like most ancestral Sims, he does not have any memories, skills or personality points. If he is resurrected, he will have a random set of interests. Unlike most ancestral Sims, Octavius and his wife died as adults, not elders, even though they both died of old age.
Octavius has an unused hairstyle. There is a hairstyle available that looks very similar to it, but they are not identical. His hair is available by pressing Shift and N in Create a Sim when Boolprop testingcheatsenabled is enabled. It will usually appear at the end of the list. This hairstyle will also appear on Beau Broke once he ages into a child.
Octavius and Scribonia's son-in-law, Consort, has no memory of either of them, hinting they most likely died before Contessa's engagement. Oddly, Octavius has a memory of the death of an unknown Sim.
If you look in Octavius' character file in SimPE, you will find a hidden picture of him as an elder, though it is unknown why this picture exists. His elder thumbnail uses the same portrait pose as his adult thumbnail, but rotated slightly. Skip Broke, Davis Dreamer, Gunther Goth and Simon Crumplebottom also have this case. Even though he is thin, his fitness bar implies that he is supposed to be fit.
Oddly, Octavius' 3D referencing file contains several datas of outfits and hairstyles (including datas of female sims) along with his own data, but this "error" is shared with other deceased sims in Veronaville.
Octavius Caesar is a character in Shakespeare's plays Julius Caesar and Antony and Cleopatra.
Life leading up to The Sims 3[]
Octavius' grave can be found in the Restful Mausoleum in Monte Vista. However, he looks different, as his hair and beard are brown instead of blonde and he wears sunglasses. This is likely to keep his appearance in line with the other ghosts of Monte Vista, as all of them have brown hair and clothes. This is also done with many other returning deceased sims, such as Fricorith Tricou. He also died of electrocution rather than old age.
It is unknown why Octavius' grave appears in Monte Vista, but not Roaring Heights, because most of his family members live there.
