The concept of no lot assignment is a semi-official feature in The Sims 3, wherein prebuilt lots in Maxis-built worlds appear to completely lack any lot assignment whatsoever, a feature they did not make available to players (who are unable to save any added lot info without adding an assignment).
Examples of lots in this kind of situation include, but are not limited to:
- Most rabbit hole lots and beaches in Sunset Valley, Riverview, and Bridgeport, with such lots in the former 2 being remnants of the pre-'Patch 12' auto-assignment system for lot types.
- ZEPHYR stops in Oasis Landing.
- The Sixam Field stadium lot in Roaring Heights, which appears to have been a mistake.

Maywood Glen is a small park (though with no park lot assignments) themed around chess. It is a quiet place where Sims can relax on their time off. There are also harvestable apple and lime trees there.
Patches 3 and 4 attempted to establish Maywood Glen as a proper park by default. As those efforts were based on the auto-assignment system in Patch 11 and earlier, the fixes were not retained from Patch 12 onwards.
