Nestor Caliente is one of the pre-made, unplayable deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. He was the husband of Dulcinea, the father of Tango and Flamenco, and the grandfather of Nina and Dina. Although he is deceased when the game begins, he appears in the family tree of his twin granddaughters.
Flamenco is the result of an alien abduction between Nestor and Pollination Technician 7. According to his SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned gray. According to his age data, he had 20 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Like most pre-made deceased Sims from The Sims 2, Nestor is completely unplayable without the use of hacks or third-party programs, such as SimPE. He uses a character portrait pose that was changed to a forward-facing view in the final game. He shares a face template with Mama Lothario and Brenda Zaidi. Interestingly, his chin is clipping through his goatee, unlike in the final game, which indicates that the facial hair did not alter with the face earlier in the game's development.
Nestor's thumbnail uses a pose that was discontinued during the development; the hidden Michael Bachelor and the elder thumbnails of Caliban Capp and Trinculo Arlecchino also share this pose.
