Monica Bratford is a pre-made playable Sim studying at La Fiesta Tech, one of the university sub-neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2: University. She is a first-semester Sophomore year majoring in Art. She is a member of the Tri-Fruhm sorority and is friends with her sorority sister and housemate, Sarah Love.
Oddly, even though Monica's memories indicate that she joined the sorority after her Freshman year and is older than her sorority sisters, she is the only one to have no relationships outside of the household when first played.
Monica has unused glasses (the frames) and if they are removed they will be lost. It is possible to put the glasses in Create a Sim by importing her with SimPE into Body Shop and then using her head as one of the pre-made templates for women. Her annual GPA after her freshman year was 2.4. She is 54 hours away from the final exam in her third semester, when the sorority is first played.
Like several other Sims from La Fiesta Tech, Monica starts off with no gender preference. Strangely, if her appearance is extracted with SimPE to Body Shop, she will be thin instead of fat. This is also the case with Kevin Beare, Chaz Whippler and Edwin Sharpe. The reason for this is because she has the fitness texture for thin Sims instead of the one for fat Sims.
This implies that she was originally thin and her fitness level was subsequently modified with a program like SimPE. The only way for her to have the fitness texture for fat Sims without hacks is by having her workout until she becomes thin, and then have her overeat until she is fat again. This also happens with many other pre-made Sims in The Sims 2.
