Miriam Hoppcraft is a Sim who lives in Moonlight Falls. She is married to the scientist James Hoppcraft, and has a son with him named Alfred.

Both she and her husband hate the supernatural and cannot understand it. They love their son, yet they do not know that Alfred was accidently turned into a fairy by the elderly Flora Goodfellow. The two parents are sure that everyone envies them for having such a well-behaved child, yet the two might have some really hard times ahead of them in dealing with their son's supernatural status.

Miriam was born in a puny town of roughly fifteen Sims, where everyone knew everyone, and she sometimes feels lost in the rather large Moonlight Falls. She is also rightfully convinced that some fishy and rather abnormal things are up in the town, and she hopes to be able to find out the towns secrets thanks to her career in politics. She is also said to hate when things change.

Miriam works in the Politics career at level 6 as a Local Representative. She has 6 points in Logic and 5 in Charisma. She has countless friends around town, yet the most notable ones would be her best friends Chester Swain and Crissy Rain.

She is similar to Sarah Newlin, a character from True Blood.
