Mike Steel is one of the pre-made, yet unplayable deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Strangetown, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. He was the lover of Mary Melons, the father of Missy Grunt (née Melons), the grandfather of General Buzz Grunt, and the great-grandfather of Tank, Ripp and Buck Grunt.

According to his SimDNA in SimPE, Mike's hair was brown before it turned gray. Despite once being the lover of Mary, they have no relation to one another, when their relationships are viewed in SimPE. According to his age data in SimPE, he had 16 days left in the elder stage when he died. His facial structure is corrupted much like several other Sims in Strangetown. As with many pre-made Sims in Strangetown, the "Skintone" part of Mike's SimDNA is missing.
