The Martin family is a pre-made family in Riverblossom Hills. The only living members are Andrew Martin and Jacob Martin. Andrew's late mother Linda Martin, was best friends with Catherine Viejo and Betty Goldstein, who Andrew and Jacob live with. Andrew's wife Elena Martin is deceased at the start of the game. Jacob Martin is dating Sandra Roth.
The family is similar to the Dreamer family of Pleasantview, seeing how Jacob has a deceased mother. The family tree is the same, as in it showing up to Andrew's grandparents, but only up to Elena's parents. This may also hint that the family is a parody of the Broke family, as the family tree is similar (the youngest generations have great grandparents from one side, and grandparents from the other), and both families have a teen who has lost a parent. Also, in both families, the surviving parent is too close to the beginning of the adult life stage to be the parent of a teenager without the assistance of a life-extender, such as the Elixir of Life.
The family is clearly descendant from Spain or a place where the Spanish language is spoken. We can realize this by the names from the members.
