Malcolm Landgraab IV is a pre-made playable Sim residing in Bluewater Village, the shopping district sub-neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Open for Business. He lives alone in a large mansion. He has the same first name as his great grandfather, grandfather and father. When first played, he is at the beginning of the adult life stage, and has 3 skill points in Charisma. Malcolm IV owns two community lots, Club Dante and Electronics Supercenter. Even though the Electronics Supercenter sells TV sets, he does not own one. However, the house is very well furnished, with expensive furniture. Since Fortune Sims often want to buy furniture, this may complicate satisfying some of Malcolm's wants.
In the Landgraab family album, there is a picture of Malcolm IV and a woman who resembles Nina Caliente in the hot tub. Her face is not clearly visible, and Malcolm IV and Nina have no memories of one another,[1] so players may handle this as they choose.
According to a picture in the family album, his parents died while he was a child, leaving him to be raised by his paternal grandparents, Malcolm II and Marion. Members of his family have appeared in The Sims for console and The Sims Bustin' Out for console.
It can be troublesome to have Malcolm IV get married, as his spouse and child(ren) will inherit the "IV" part of their last name, unless the player uses SimPE to edit it out, or his spouse is the one who proposes the marriage. He is the only pre-made Sim to own two community lots and the only one to own a club.
Strangely, Malcolm IV's skin tone is inconsistent with the skin tones of his ancestors. All of his grandparents have light skin (S1), both of his parents have tan skin (S2), and he has medium skin (S3). It is unclear how this could have happened, so it may have been an oversight by the developers.
While there is a picture of Malcolm IV with a woman in a hot tub, he has no gender preference at the start of the game. Malcolm IV wears eyeliner, a trait shared with a few other male Sims such as Morty Roth, Xander Roth, Jason Larson and Puck Summerdream. His name is technically spelled "Malcolm ", with an extra space, making his technical name Malcolm Landgraab IV. His father and grandfather also have this case. Malcolm IV is voiced by Stephen Kearin.
