Macabre is a lifestyle trait available in The Sims 4: Life & Death. It conflicts with Cheerful and Skeptical.

- Macabre Sims will never become terrified and their scared emotions can easily be subdued.
- Macabre Sims will experience positive reactions around dark and morbid subjects.
- Macabre Sims will gain a bored moodlet around anything considered "happy".
- Macabre Sims hate being out in the sun.
- Macabre Sims gain a new pose replacing their default fine emotion pose alongside household pictures, relationship panel pictures, phone calls and popups icons.
- Macabre Sims can "Spread the Gloom" as well as "Make Morbid Observation".
- Macabre Sims can do the Ghastly Gavotte dance while listening to music.
- Macabre Sims will become playful when being around the Grim Reaper.
- Non-ghost Macabre Sims will always become energized everytime they meet a new ghost or when talking to one they already know.
- Macabre Sims will become energized instead of uncomfortable during a cold spot in a lot On Hallowed Grounds.
- Macabre Sims will gain a happy moodlet during a TV static in a lot On Hallowed Grounds.
- Macabre Sims will autonomously want to research death and thus gain the Thanatology skill.
- Macabre Sims will gain an inspired moodlet called "Nevermore" when they show affections to crows.
