The Lycos family is an official download family who were made available as a free download for French Sims players as part of a cross-promotion between web search engine Lycos and The Sims 2: Pets expansion pack. The family includes an adult Sim Thomas Lycos and his pet dog and best friend Lycos. Although the download was released for French players, the family, lot and Sim descriptions are all written in English.
The family comes with a good sized two-storey house with decorated walls and floors and a small garden. However, the interior is oddly empty, containing no furniture whatsoever.
