The Lu family is a pre-made foreign family residing in Shang Simla, one of the vacation destination sub-worlds shipped with The Sims 3: World Adventures. It consists of married couple Jiang and Jiannan and their two children Liu and Wang. They live at The Laurel House at 81 South Shang Simla Hills. All of these Sims lack description texts.
They also appear in GPE8_Future, from the Steam version of The Sims 3: Into the Future, where they reside at the "Unfurled - 3br, 1.5ba" lot with newborn baby Angeline. For unknown reasons, Angeline does not appear in the initial family thumbnail.
There is no indication that the Lu family is related to Jesse Lu and Rita Lu from Starlight Shores, and Ned Lu from Riverview, even though they share the same last name.
Onomatology
- Lu: (盧，卢)[n 1] Meaning "black" in Classical Chinese.
- Jiang:(江) The Chinese of river.
- Jiannan: (劍南) "southern sword".[n 2]
- Liu: (劉,刘) From the name of the state of Liu, which was granted to a descendant of the model emperor Yao (2357–2257 bc).
- Wang: (王) The Chinese word for "king".
- Angeline: Greek name meaning "messenger of God".
