Kynda Pleasant is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during her lifetime in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. She was the wife of Les, the mother of Jeff, the grandmother of Daniel and Jennifer Burb (née Pleasant), and the great-grandmother of Angela and Lilith, and Lucy Burb. Although she is deceased when the game begins, she appears in the family tree of her grandchildren. Neither she nor her husband appears in The Sims, although their son Jeff does.
Her name is likely a pun on "kinda [kind of] pleasant", especially since her husband's name is Les (or "less pleasant"). According to her SimDNA in SimPE, Kynda's hair was black before it turned gray. According to her age data, she had 36 days left in the elder life stage when she died. Like most pre-made deceased Sims from The Sims 2, Kynda is completely unplayable without the use of hacks or third-party programs, such as SimPE. She, like Irma Oldie, has an unused hairstyle, two buns on each side of her head. That style was probably intended to be used in The Sims 2, but there is a similar hairstyle that is close to it.
