Kristen Singles (also known as Kristen Loste) is a pre-made playable Sim who lives in Strangetown in The Sims 2. She is roommates with Lola, Chloe and Erin, and is the only one of the four whose story does not extend beyond the Singles household. The household appears in the Family bin and is ready to be moved into a house in Strangetown. When she is moved into a lot, she is 26 days away from becoming an elder. She is voiced by Gerri Lawlor.
When the game starts, Kristen has positive relationships with each of her roommates, although Chloe seems to have taken a slight dislike to her and Erin. Kristen dreams of becoming a world-famous sports champion. Her biography implies that she doesn't intend to be a permanent resident of Strangetown, seeing it only as a pit stop on her track to greatness.
Kristen has learned all the toddler skills, two from her mother, and one from her father. Both parents had a hand in raising her. Her father died when she was a child, which is unusual given that he died as an elder. This suggests that Arty had Kristen late in his life, possibly when he was very close to the elder stage or already in that stage.
She did well in school and grew up well. According to her memories, her mother, Daisy Loste, left her a small inheritance. It is possible that it has been spent, as it doesn't appear she has any of it left. Strangely, if Kristen's appearance is extracted with SimPE to Body Shop, she will be thin instead of fit. The reason for this is because she has the fitness texture for thin Sims instead of the one for fit Sims.
This implies that she was originally thin and her fitness level was subsequently modified with a program like SimPE. The only way for her to have the fitness texture for fit Sims without hacks is by having her overeat until she becomes thin, and then have her workout until she is fit again. This also happens with many other pre-made Sims in The Sims 2.
