"Klara" is the Slavic form of the more common Latinate "Clara" spelling. Her surname seems to pun on three common German family name elements - "von", "der" and "stein" - which literally translates as "of the stone", although they were probably chosen for their familiarity rather than their meaning.

Her lastname could also be read as "Wonderstein" where "stein" refers to the real world genius Einstein, implying that she is of above average intellect (as her knowledge aspiration confirms). Klara looks like a stereotypical (by her name probably Russian or German) spy with sunglasses.
